    I use a different method for fontshadows.

     

    try rendering the font 5 times.

     

    the first 4 times in black and 1 pixel to the left / right / top / bottom

    and the last one is the original text you want to draw

    Draw 2 Lines example

    Example:

     

    DrawFont (6, 6,D3DCOLOR_ARGB(255,0,0,0),"Shadow Test");
    DrawFont (5, 5,D3DCOLOR_ARGB(255,255,255,255),"Shadow Test");
